Remove. Retighten. Restore.
Some people can achieve their desired body results through proper diet and exercise. However, for most, achieving a toned or highly defined physique may be out of reach despite their best efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle. While traditional liposuction is an effective way to remove stubborn pockets of fat, it does little to restore those defining lines in areas of the body and shadows that are apparent when someone is in optimal physical shape.
Not content with a one-size-fits-all solution to body contouring, Dr. Josef Hadeed now offers TriDef™ Liposculpting, a revolutionary approach to achieving the high-definition lines and contours you desire. Dr. Hadeed utilizes a 3-step process to break up and remove stubborn fat deposits while tightening the surrounding skin to gain a youthful appearance. The final step, fat grafting, accentuates your results even further.
TriDef™ Liposculpting is the newest technique in the evolution of high-definition liposuction and can help you achieve the toned, sculpted result you are looking for.
What Is TriDef™ Liposculpting?
TriDef™ Liposculpting is a specialized high-definition body contouring procedure that utilizes three different body sculpting methods to help you achieve your ideal shape.
Dr. Hadeed employs two different methods of liposuction when performing high-definition liposculpting. He first utilizes VASER liposuction, which is a method that uses ultrasound technology to break apart fat cells and dislodge them from surrounding tissues so they’re easier to remove. While other types of liposuction use water or laser liposuction to loosen fat for removal before suctioning it away, VASER lipo uses powerful sound waves. The ultrasound waves also produce heat that softens the fat cells, allowing for easier extraction of unwanted fat cells while providing minimal skin tightening.
VASER liposuction is quickly becoming a popular body-sculpting method because it allows for more detailed contouring, resulting in smooth definition along nearly any curve of your body, large or small. Best of all, VASER high-definition liposuction is a gentler method of fat removal than a traditional liposuction procedure, meaning that you experience less discomfort, less blood loss, and shorter healing times.
After the VASER liposuction is performed, power-assisted liposuction utilizing metal cannulas is used to remove the fat cells that were dislodged. The fat that is retrieved goes to a specific collection container, where it will eventually be separated from the rest of the aspirate. During this step of the procedure, specialized curved cannulas are employed to etch in the lines and shadows that result in a toned, defined look.
Renuvion® is a minimally-invasive skin tightening tool that utilizes two types of energy: radiofrequency energy (RF) and cold helium plasma. When used for skin retightening, radiofrequency energy works by heating the tissues under the surface of the area selected for tightening. By heating those underlying tissues, RF energy prompts the skin to tighten and contract, inducing your body to produce more collagen. The boost in collagen helps extend the results of your treatment, as it naturally firms and smooths your skin.
The helium plasma element of the instrument is used to cool the area during your procedure. The helium plasma works simultaneously to cool the treatment area, which allows the device to heat the targeted tissues to a higher temperature than other radiofrequency treatments. This combination of RF energy and helium plasma results in maximum skin contraction and a much more noticeable change in your body contour. Renuvion® offers precise, controlled contouring of smaller areas and can drastically reduce sagging skin in more substantial locations.
Fat transfer (also known as fat grafting) has gained popularity over the past few years as patients have discovered the benefits of using their own fat to enhance other areas of their bodies. One of the most popular procedures that utilizes autologous fat transfer is the Brazilian Butt Lift; however, it can also be used to replace lost volume in the breasts, face, and even hands.
Fat transfer works by taking the fat extracted during liposuction and separating it from the rest of the fluids and blood that were aspirated. The fat is then sterilely washed and processed to separate any damaged fat cells, impurities, or excess fluid, leaving you with clean and healthy fat cells ready to be transferred. The extracted fat is then strategically injected into the areas selected for augmentation to shape and define your body in all the right places.
TriDef™ Liposculpting Recovery
After liposuction, you will be placed into a compression garment, which will help reduce bruising, swelling, and pain. The garment also helps to create a smooth shape and promotes healing. Certain areas of your body may also be padded with foam for further protection. Lymphatic massage therapy is instituted the day after the procedure and typically lasts for ten days. Patients should refrain from applying pressure to the area where the fat injection was administered.
Dr. Hadeed will go over the details specific to your TriDef™ Liposculpting recovery, which will be based on the location of the area where your fat was harvested. After liposuction, you typically need to rest, maintain good health, and recover at home for at least a week, avoiding strenuous activities. You will likely be able to return to work around a week after your procedure and back to gentle exercise after six weeks. Again, each patient will have unique requirements and limitations, which Dr. Hadeed will address with you.
TriDef™ Liposculpting Results
You’ll likely notice your TriDef™ Liposculpting results in stages. You’ll see smoother, tighter skin immediately after your procedure, and your skin will continue to increase in firmness and tone until your full results are visible at 6–9 months.
The results of the fat transfer portion of TriDef™ Liposculpting are typically visible about one week after the fat transfer procedure itself. While you may experience a bit of volume loss initially as the grafted fat settles in, you’ll be able to see your final results after a couple of months.
The liposuction procedure typically results in swelling, making it difficult to see your results initially. Depending on the location of your liposuction, you’ll wear a compression garment to help reduce the swelling and shape the treated area. Most patients see their final results in 6–9 months.
